CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 971 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5-6.05, ARTICLE 2, <br /> CHAPTER 6 (DECREASE IN STATE SPEED LIMIT IN CERTAIN <br /> ZONES), TITLE V (VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, STREETS AND <br /> HIGHWAYS) OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON RELATING TO SPEED LIMITS <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Article 2 (Decrease in State Speed Limits in Certain <br /> Zones) of Chapter VI (Speed Zones) of Title V (Vehicles <br /> and Traffic, l Streets and Highways) of the Ordinance <br /> Code of the City of Pleasanton is amended to add the <br /> following: <br /> <br /> Subsection (s) Parkside Drive. On Parkside Drive from <br /> Hopyard Road to Arthur Drive, the speed limit shall <br /> be 25 miles per hour. <br /> <br /> Subsection (t) Youth Sports Park. On the paved two-lane <br /> access road from Parkside Drive to the parking areas, <br /> the speed limit shall be 15 miles per hour. <br /> <br />Section 2: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> (15) days after its adoption in "The Times," a newspaper <br /> of general circulation published in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days <br /> after the date of its final passage and adoption. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Pleasanton on April 14, 1981. <br /> <br />ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton on April 28, 1981 by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />ATTEST: ~ MAYOR <br /> Walker, City Clerk <br /> By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> ~e, City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
