5. PUBLIC SAFETY ELEMENT <br /> Program 5.31: Require measures to mitigate potential geologic safety hazards <br /> during adverse conditions such as saturated soils and ground <br /> shaking, and during grading of the site for roads, installation of <br /> infrastructure, and creation of building pads. Mitigation measures <br /> identified by the site engineering studies shall be incorporated into <br /> the project design. (GP page 5-37] <br /> Program 8.2: Require new development to pay for fire safety improvement needs <br /> generated by the new development. [GP page 5.39] <br /> *Implement Public Facilities Fee- PMC Chapter 3.22. <br /> Program 10.1: Deny proposed developments not within a five-minute travel time of <br /> a Fire Station unless acceptable mitigations are provided. <br /> [GP page 5-39) <br /> Program 11.1: Require developers to finance and construct necessary water <br /> facilities for their projects when they develop.
