The project was completed for a total of$2,222,118, bringing the
project in at $177,335 below the approved budget. The final project funding and
expenditures are summarized in Attachment 1 to this report.
Contract change orders totaling $92,588.80 (equivalent to 4.44% of contract amount)
were primarily the result of a net increase in the contract quantities of asphalt concrete,
rubberized chip seal, pavement repair, and compensation for additional work performed.
Compensation for additional work performed by the contractor included installation of
nine ADA compliant concrete curb ramps ($18,000) and installation of five traffic
calming speed lumps on Westbridge Lane ($28,000). Speed lump installation was
requested by the Traffic Engineering Division. The traffic calming program at this
location was approved by Council in August 2011 and the funds for this work will be
transferred from CIP No. 085055 and CIP No. 105055.
The balance remaining in the CIP budget is $1,078,466. Staff recommends that this
remaining balance be transferred back to fund balance and the project closed out.
Submittedd by Fiscal Review: Approved by:
4t =en nit-4v
Brian Dolan Emily Wagner Nelson Fialho
Director of Director of Finance City Manager
Community Development
Attachment:
1.
