MINUTES CITY OF PLEASANTON REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING March 6, 2012 CALL TO ORDER Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:06 p.m. Councilmember Thorne lead the Pledge of Allegiance and he provided introductory remarks. ROLL CALL Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kailio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman Absent: None CLOSED SESSION REPORT City Attorney Lowell stated that the Council met in Closed Session concerning existing litigation, Urban Habitat, et. al v. City of Pleasanton and that no reportable action was taken. AGENDA AMENDMENTS City Manager Fialho stated that Item 12, Public Hearing: PADR-2090 would be continued to April 3, 2012. Mayor Hosterman briefly reviewed the history behind Item 12, noting that the appellants have been before the Planning Commission, City Council and Zoning Administrator at least once before regarding this very issue. She expressed concern over how often someone might appeal matters not properly before the Council. CONSENT CALENDAR Administrative Services 1. Approved regular meeting minutes February 21, 2012 and special meeting minutes of January 24 and January 31, 2012 with noted changes Councilmember McGovern requested the following corrections to the Minutes of January 24, 2012: • "Access Community Health" should read "Axis Community Health" • Page 5, last paragraph —change "singly" to "individually" City Manager 2. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute a professional service agreement with the NewPoint Group, Inc. to conduct a refuse and recycling collection rate study Community Development 3. Accepted actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission 4. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 12-506 approving the Altamont Settlement Agreement Education Advisory Board expenditure plan for fiscal year 2012-2013
