CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAj~EDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 965 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5-6.05, ARTICLE 2, <br /> CHAPTER 6 (DECREASE IN STATE SPEED LIMIT IN <br /> CERTAIN ZONES), TITLE V (VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, <br /> STREETS AND HIGHWAYS) OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF <br /> THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RELATING TO SPEED LIMITS <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Article 2 (Decrease in State Speed Limits in Certain <br /> Zones) of Chapter 6 (Speed Zones) of Title V (Vehicles <br /> and Traffic, Streets and Highways) of the Ordinance Code <br /> of the City of Pleasanton is amended to add the <br /> following: <br /> <br /> "Stoneridge Drive - On Stoneridge Drive from Springdale <br /> Avenue to Stoneridge Mall Road, the speed limit shall be <br /> 40 miles per hour. <br /> <br /> Stoneridge Drive - On Stoneridge Drive from Stoneridge <br /> Mall Road to Hopyard Road, the speed limit shall be 45 <br /> miles per hour. <br /> <br /> Pleasanton Avenue - On Pleasanton Avenue from Bernal <br /> Avenue to Angela Street, the speed limit shall be 35 <br /> miles per hour. <br /> <br /> Section 2: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days <br /> after the date of its final passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> Section 3: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a <br /> newspaper of general circualtion published in the City <br /> of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br /> of Pleasanton on February 24, 1981. <br /> <br />ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton on March 10, 1981 by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None ' <br />ABSENT: None ~~.~j~__~ <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk~ ~. ~ <br /> Levine, City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
