RESOLUTION NO. 12-500 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AUTHORIZING PAYMENT AND REPORTING THE VALUE OF EMPLOYER PAID MEMBER CONTRIBUTIONS (EPMC) FOR PLEASANTON POLICE OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Pleasanton has the authority to implement Government code Section 20636(c)(4) pursuant to Section 20691; and WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Pleasanton has a written agreement which specifically provides for the normal member contributions to be paid by the employer and reported as additional compensation; and WHEREAS, one of the steps in the procedures to implement Section 20691 is the adoption by the governing body of the City of Pleasanton of a Resolution to commence paying and reporting the value of said Employer Paid Member Contributions (EPMC); and WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Pleasanton has identified the following conditions for the purpose of its election to pay EPMC. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. This benefit shall apply to all employees covered by Pleasanton Police Officers' Association. SECTION 2. This benefit shall consist of paying the following normal contributions as EPMC and reporting the same percent (value) of compensation earnable (excluding Government Code Section 20636(c)(4)) as additional compensation: • 6% effective March 3, 2012, • 3% effective first full pay period in July 2012, and • 0% effective first full pay period in July 2013, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Pleasanton and the Pleasanton Police Officers' Association, approved by this Council on February 7, 2012. SECTION 3. That the governing body of the City of Pleasanton elects to pay and report the value of EPMC as set forth above. SECTION 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on February 21, 2012.
