CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 959 AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL OF CERTAIN RAP APPROVED RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS WHEREAS, the Residential Allocation Program (RAP) provides that development approval lapses one and one-half years from the date of approval; and WHEREAS, certain projects ~hich received RAP approval in past years would have their development approval lapse on May 28, 1981 or on July 22, 1981; and WHEREAS, these projects have been proceeding toward actual construction by processing the necessary tentative maps, etc; and WHEREAS, actual construction has been delayed by the unfavorable building conditions (high interest rates and tight money market) encountered through 1980, the same conditions which are still present and are anticipated well into 1981; and I... WHEREAS, actual construction is unlikely to begin before the lapse dates of development approvals due to the adverse building conditions; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Pleasanton to enable the many desirable projects to be allowed to develop as soon as conditions warrant, rather than to force reapplication of the many projects for subse- quent development approval; NOW, THFIREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY' OF PLEASANTON ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Grants a one-year extension to the RAP development approval of all those projects (or phases of projects) which would have lapsed on or before July 22, 1981, so that those with a lapse date of May 28, 1981 will now lapse on May 28, 1982, and those with a lapse date of July 22, 1981, will now lapse on July 22, 1982. Section 2: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "THE TIMES," a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Pleasanton. Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its final passage and adoption.
