THE CITY OF R <br /> pL£ASANTONO CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> February 21, 2012 <br /> Community Development <br /> Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: APPROVE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH S&C <br /> ENGINEERS, INC., FOR THE CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION AND <br /> TESTING SERVICES NECESSARY FOR THE STONERIDGE DRIVE <br /> BRIDGE PROJECT <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The proposed professional services agreement secures the services of S&C Engineers, <br /> Inc. (S&C) to provide full time on-site inspection during the construction of the <br /> Stoneridge Drive bridge construction project associated with the Staples Ranch <br /> development. The contract also requires S&C to coordinate and provide all material <br /> testing necessary during the construction of the bridge. <br /> The total fee for providing these necessary services is $443,120. In accordance with <br /> the conditions of approval of the subdivision map for the project, the Alameda County <br /> Surplus Property Authority (ACSPA) will be responsible to pay these fees. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Approve agreement with S&C Engineers, Inc., to provide on-site inspection and <br /> testing services for the Stoneridge Drive bridge project in the not-to-exceed <br /> amount of$443,120. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Since the ACSPA will be paying the fees associated with this contract, there is no direct <br /> financial impact to the City. <br />
