MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> September 26, 2011 <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the special meeting to order at the hour of 6:00 p.m. <br /> 2. ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Absent: None <br /> 3. PUBLIC COMMENT: <br /> Alan Roberts, Karla Brown and Kay Ayala addressed the council concerning the existing litigation. <br /> The meeting adjourned to closed session for the following purposes at 6:15 p.m.: <br /> • CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL — EXISTING LITIGATION pursuant to Government <br /> Code §54956.9(a): Lin v. City of Pleasanton, State of California, First Appellate District Court of <br /> Appeal A132046 of Alameda County, Case No. RG-10-519153 <br /> • CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL — EXISTING LITIGATION pursuant to Government <br /> Code §54956.9(a): Lin v. City of Pleasanton, Alameda County Superior Court, Case No. RG-11- <br /> 591651 <br /> The council reconvened in open session at 7:03 p.m. and City Attorney Jonathan Lowell <br /> reported out of closed session that the above matters were discussed with legal counsel, the <br /> council agreed to call a special meeting on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 7:00 p.m., to allow <br /> public comment regarding principles of a proposed tolling or stand down agreement, and then <br /> the Council will again convene in closed session for further discussion. <br /> 4.
