Requested Information from the Planning Commission <br /> The following comments and/or information was requested by the Planning Commission at <br /> their October 17, 2011, Planning Commission meeting. The items requested and/or <br /> comments are noted in italics with comments provided thereafter. <br /> 15.More viewscapes and detailed visuals to the greatest extent possible and additional <br /> detail work on the entryways. <br /> Please refer to sheets A2-0 through A2-13, A3-1 through A3-2, and A3-4 through <br /> A3-5 in Attachment 1, Exhibit B-1 and Attachment 2, Exhibit B-2. <br /> 16.A request was made for input from the Pleasanton Police Department indicating <br /> that the plans were reviewed and confirmation from the applicant that there will be <br /> on-site management security. <br /> The plans have been reviewed by the Pleasanton Police Department and they do <br /> not have concerns regarding their ability to Police either site. The Police <br /> Department also noted that they have free voluntary crime prevention programs <br /> that they will encourage the applicant to get involved in once the projects are <br /> developed. The Police Department has requested that a condition of approval be <br /> added to the projects strongly encouraging the applicant to participate in the <br /> programs once the two sites are development. <br /> The applicant has indicated that the project will have pedestrian gates along the <br /> proposed trails with key pad entry for the residents and noted that management will <br /> be on-site and will manage security in the properties. <br /> 17.Provide specific details on the connection to the Iron Horse Trail and whether there <br /> will be gates or if it will be open and the type of access across the parking lots to <br /> get to the trail. <br /> Please refer to sheets A5-3 and L-1 in Attachment 1, Exhibit B-1 and Attachment 2, <br /> Exhibit B-2. <br /> 18.Show tot lot amenities and the view across the tot lots. <br /> Please refer to sheet A6-3 in Attachment 2, Exhibit B-2. <br /> 19. Whether the two sites will meet the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. <br /> The project will be required to meet the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) <br /> requirements. ADA parking stalls, loading zones, and some ground units will be <br /> required to be ADA compliant. Furthermore, the applicant is working with CRIL <br /> (Community Resources for Independent Living) on achieving appropriate <br /> components of universal design. The applicant will be required to have all ground <br /> floor dwelling units, which do not have an elevator in the building, to be ADA <br /> adaptable.
