<br />Chair Narum inquired if the left side can be used by children to run around, throw a <br />football, or for a pick-up soccer game. <br /> <br />Mr. Yao confirmed that the area is for sports usage as well. He added that it is a pretty <br />large open grass area and is intended for non-regulation recreational field use. <br /> <br />F. What information would the Planning Commission wish to see to assist its <br />decision on the proposals? <br /> <br />Commissioner Pentin stated that he has the same comments as for Site 1 with <br />reference to access to the trails, egress and ingress, and crossing of parking lots. He <br />added that there are references to bike parking or lockers on both sites, and he would <br />like to see what that would look like, how it would be accessed, and if it would be really <br />friendly. <br /> <br />Commissioner Pearce added that she wanted a confirmation that they conform to the <br />Pleasanton Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan. <br /> <br />Chair Narum asked the applicant if they had any questions or needed further <br />clarifications. <br /> <br />The applicants confirmed that they were good. <br /> <br />Chair Narum called for a break at 9:10 p.m. and resumed the Special Meeting at <br />9:18 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner O left the meeting. <br /> <br />c. PGPA-17, City of Pleasanton, Climate Action Plan <br />Workshop to provide information regarding the scope and <br /> <br /> <br />Janice Stern stated the City is in the process of completing its Climate Action Plan <br />(CAP) which will chart out a roadmap to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, <br />consistent with AB 32. She <br />advised that the leader of this project is Daniel Smith, Director of Operations Services, <br />who will provide an overview of the project and show where the Planning Commission <br />will be involved in some of the implementation of the Plan. <br /> <br />Daniel Smith stated that he was presenting the staff report on behalf of the Operations <br />Services Department (OSD) and the Energy and Environment Committee, who assisted <br />in guiding the City through the process of the Draft CAP that was taken to the City <br />Council in August. He added that over the last 18 months, there has been a partnership <br />with the Community Development Department, who helped with the land use and <br />transportation elements of the Plan.
