<br />Commissioner Pearce concurred as long as Conservation D are <br />prioritized. <br /> <br />Commissioner Blank suggested creating efficiency and consistency between the <br />General Plan, the DTSP, and the DTDG and streamlining this process so that people <br />who buy homes in the Downtown area know what they can expect and not be caught by <br />surprise two years or so down the line. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olson agreed with Commissioner Blank. <br /> <br />Mr. Dolan suggested the Commission not make too many wide policy judgments on one <br />as there is always a back story. <br /> <br />Commissioner Blank agreed but indicated that this is not the first time the Commission <br />has heard of frustration with the process. <br /> <br />-2 and stated that <br />he believes the first priority for the year should be City Finances and maintaining fiscal <br />sustainability. He indicated that without money, all these priorities are like whistling in <br />the wind. <br /> <br />Commissioner Pearce noted that the Commission has been specifically told that this is <br />out of its domain recommendation should be something that <br />the Commission can work with. <br /> <br />Coagreed and noted that the Council is asking for Planning <br />Commission-related priorities, in the same manner that the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission would choose its priority from its own perspective. <br /> <br />Commissioner Blank agreed with both Commissioner Pearce and Commissioner Olson. <br />He indicated that he is thinking of attending the City Council Workshop on the Priorities <br />as an individual because he believes the City Council should prioritize and do a <br />zero-budget exercise, which it has never done here, which might result in some <br />interesting potential efficiencies. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olson agreed. <br /> <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED. <br /> <br />There were no public speakers on the item. <br /> <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REGULAR MINUTES, March 9, 2011 Page 21 of 24 <br /> <br />
