EXHIBIT A <br /> Scope of Consultant's Services <br /> Task l —Provide certification training, according to AHA and NAEMT standards, as applicable, <br /> for ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS, every two years. To the extent possible,this training should <br /> combine on-line didactic training(which may use an existing on-line CE provider)with <br /> hands-on, classroom-based instruction. <br /> Task 2—Provide 10-12 hours of CE training for EMTs including completion of the 10 core <br /> skills required by the State of California EMSA(See Attachment A), every two years. This <br /> would occur concurrently with the ALS certifications. The group would be divided in half; <br /> paramedics would attend certification classes, and EMTs would attend CE training. <br /> Task 3—Provide printed certifications for all continuing education and certification classes, as <br /> requested. <br /> Task 4—Provide training materials, including mannequins, rhythm simulators,ALS simulation <br /> materials, and other required equipment. Textbooks shall be provided by LPFD. <br /> Task 5—Provide initial 12-lead certification hands-on training. This training will occur after all <br /> paramedics have completed a 4-hour on-line didactic training. Hands-on training will entail 4 <br /> hours of classroom, instructor-led practice. The hands-on training,together with the on-line <br /> program will complete the requirements for initial 12-lead training as proscribed by Alameda <br /> County EMSA. This training will only occur once. <br /> Task 6—Consultant shall provide a schedule for training that meets the following requirements: <br /> 1) Half of the department on duty each day would attend a morning session, and the other half <br /> would attend the afternoon session, 2) If more than one classroom session is required,training <br /> for each certification(ACLS, PALS, PHTLS)would occur in the same month, 3) Trainings <br /> would be held in January, February, March and/or April, 4) Trainings would meet the minimum <br /> hours required by the authorizing agencies (AHA,NAEMT). <br /> Compensation <br /> On-line Delivery Model: $ 63,700(not to exceed) <br /> Optional Makeup Sessions: $300 per instructor per session(not to exceed) <br />
