CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> 3 107 <br /> I~ESOLUTION ND._ <br /> <br /> ~ESOLV]~D: <br /> <br /> 1) The City Officers are hereby authorized to enter <br /> and negotiate an interim contract to provide fire protection for <br /> the Volk-~cLain commumity in Pleasanton Township, north of <br /> <br /> Highway U.S. 50 and easterly of Highway 21,described below. <br /> <br /> 2) Said contract shall not extend beyond thirty (}0} <br /> <br /> days from date of execution, shall provide only that equipment <br /> and manpower presently being provided by the Pleasanton Fire <br /> <br /> Department for areas outside the city limits; and shall be ne- <br />ll gotiated and entered with the political body knovm as "Valley <br /> Community Service District", formerly "Parks Community Service <br /> District". <br /> <br /> 31 The City officers are authorized and instructed to <br /> <br />negotiate a mutual assistance agreement with Valley Community <br />IIService District to be presented to the Council in the futu/'e, at <br /> such time as the Valley Community Service District has the fire <br /> department, equipment, manpower and organization, to make such <br /> an agreement advantageous to the City of ?leasanton. <br /> <br />ADOt~TED: November 7, 1960. <br /> <br />WA,Fd:EE!N t~. . ~LaRD ZE'G <br />Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> MA~GA~ET L.
