Actions of the Planning Commission, November 9, 2011 <br /> Commissioners Present: Kathy Narum, Greg O'Connor, Arne Olson, Jennifer Pearce, and <br /> Jerry Pentin <br /> Commissioners Absent: Commissioner Phil Blank <br /> P11-00021P11-0003, Ken Van Cleave, Carlton Homes, and Pratap Poddatoori <br /> Applications for Conditional Use Permit to establish development standards and for <br /> Administrative Design Review approval to construct approximately 4,281 square feet of <br /> single- and second-story additions and an approximately 829 square-foot attached garage <br /> to the existing, approximately 3,658-square-foot, two-story home located at 5130 Foothill <br /> Road. Zoning for the property is PUD-LDR (Planned Unit Development — Low Density <br /> Residential) District and West Foothill Road Corridor Overlay District. <br /> Action recommended: Approval. <br /> Action taken: Approved per staff, with a modification to Condition No. 2 that the color of the <br /> window frames be changed from "Cranberry" to "Brownstone" and the <br /> addition of two new conditions: (1) The applicant shall submit a revised <br /> landscape plan with additional privacy landscaping, subject to the review and <br /> approval of the Director of Community Development, and (2) Stormwater <br /> runoff shall be routed to the front of the property on Foothill Road. <br /> Vote: 5-0-1 (Blank was absent). <br /> P11-0709/P11-0717, Dave Cunningham <br /> Applications for Design Review approval to replace the approximately 482-square-foot, <br /> single-story house located at 205 Neal Street with an approximately 1,844 square-foot, <br /> two-story residence and for Variances from the Pleasanton Municipal Code to: (1) reduce <br /> the front yard setback from the required 23 feet to 20 feet to accommodate the new house; <br /> (2) allow one required off-street parking space to be located in the required front yard <br /> setback; and (3) allow tandem parking.
