IN THE CI?Y COUNCIL OF TH]E CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2983 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of the State law governing <br />municipal elections, it becomes the duty of the Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton to give notice of such election and to perform such other acts <br />as are required by law; now therefore <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Pleasanton, that public <br />notice is hereby given that an election will be held in the City of Pleasanton <br />on Tuesday, the 12th day of April, A.D., 1960, for the purpose of electing <br />the following officers: <br /> <br /> Three (3) Councilmen to serve for the full term of four (4) years; <br /> One (1) Clerk to serve for the full term of four (k) years; <br /> <br /> One (1) Treasurer to serve for the full term of four (4) years; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said election be conducted in accordance with <br /> law and that said election be held in one precinct to be known as Consolidated <br /> Election Precinct "A", said consolidated precinct to be composed of the eight <br /> election precincts in the City of Pleasanton, the boundaries of such precincts <br /> to be the same as those prescribed by the Board of Supervisors of Alameda <br /> County for State and County elections; and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the polling place of said precinct shall be <br /> at the City Hall, Main and Division Streets, in the City of Pleasanton, Califor- <br /> nia; and that said polls shall remain open for twelve (12) consecutive hours; <br /> to wit from 7:00 o'clock A.M., until 7:00 o'clock P.M.; and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and she is hereby authorized <br /> and instructed to cause to be published in The Pleasanton Times such notices as <br /> are required to be published by law in conjunction with the aforesaid election; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following named persons are hereby nomi- <br /> nated and appointed to conduct the aforesaid election: <br /> Inspector Jewel Shortwell <br /> <br />Judge Nancy Regalia <br /> <br />Clerks Ane Christianson and Virginia Hamilton <br /> <br /> AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the compensation for each of the aforesaid <br />election officers is hereby fixed at sixteen dollars ($16.00) <br /> <br /> <br />
