THE CITY OF 03
II -- CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
pL£ASANTONm
November 1, 2011
Mayor and City Council
TITLE: APPOINT TOM HALL TO THE ALTAMONT LANDFILL COMMITTEE
EDUCATION ADVISORY BOARD
SUMMARY
Recently the City solicited applications to fill vacancies for various commissions,
committees and regional boards. At the close of the recruitment no applications were
received for the Altamont Landfill Committee Education Advisory Board. Due to the
resignation of Marsha Jones as the Pleasanton representative, this position has been
vacant since 2010.
At its meeting on October 18, 2011, the City Council approved appointments to the
various commissions, committees and regional boards and noted the vacancy still
existing on the Education Advisory Board. As a result, Mr. Hall notified the Mayor and
City Council of his interest in the Altamont Landfill Committee Education Advisory Board
the following day. Mr. Hall has completed the necessary paperwork, is currently a
Physics and AP Physics teacher with the Pleasanton Unified School District and a
resident of Alameda County and is interested in being appointed as the Pleasanton
representative.
RECOMMENDATION
Appoint Tom Hall to Altamont Landfill Committee Education Advisory Board.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
There is no fiscal impact.
Approv d by:
Nel on ialho
City Manager
