MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> September 6, 2011 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Thorne <br /> led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided introductory remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Absent: None <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT — Assistant City Attorney Seto reported the Council met in Closed <br /> Session. The Council provided direction on how to proceed with the two matters regarding existing <br /> litigation. Regarding the third matter; real property negotiation, direction was provided. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS — City Manager Fialho advised that item 9 has been pulled from the agenda. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Administrative Services <br /> 1. Approved corrected regular meeting minutes of August 16, 2011 and special meeting minutes of <br /> August 11, and August 16, 2011 <br /> Councilmember Thorne referred to page 12 of 18 of the minutes, 3r° paragraph, second sentence; <br /> "He wants to make sure the City is comparing dollars in and out the door and wants to look at <br /> what is-nothing in between." <br /> Councilmember Cook-Kallio referred to page 13 of 18 and the motion. She asked to strike "add" <br /> and insert "to amend it to include the three benchmarks" which she said reflects Pleasanton's <br /> input into that white paper. The sentence would read, "The City's pension reform paper is a <br /> guidance document and to amend it to include the three benchmarks that staff has included in the <br /> staff report." <br /> City Manager <br /> 2. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute a contract with DeBerardi Development <br /> Inc. in the amount of$24,987, plus a 15% contingency to demolish city owned residential property <br /> Approved located at 4138 Vineyard Avenue <br /> 3. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 11-477 authorizing the City Manager to execute <br /> a Cooperative Agreement with County of Alameda to participate in the Alameda County HOME <br /> Consortium Fiscal Years 2012, 2013 and 2014 for the purposes of securing Federal HOME Funds <br /> Community Development <br /> 4. Accepted the actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br />
