CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 1094 ORDINANCE APPROVING THE APPEAL OF HOLIDAY INNS, INC. FROM A DECISION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION DENYING DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVAL FOR A PROPOSED SIX-STORY HOTEL WHEREAS, Holiday Inns, Inc. made application for development plan approval for a 249 room, 7-story hotel and related facilities proposed for a 4.39 acre site located near the northwest corner of Dublin Canyon Road and Foothill Road; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of May 25, 1983, the Planning Commission received a staff report on the application, and testimony from the applicant and the community; and WHEREAS, WHEREAS, after consideration of all of the above, the Planning Commission denied the application; and within the time specified by the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, Holiday Inns, Inc. submitted an appeal to the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on July 12, 1983; and WHEREAS, the applicant revised the development plan, including reducing the number of stories from seven to six and increasing the site area, in order to meet some of the objections of the Planning Commission; and I,~EREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study, a mitigated negative declaration was adopted by Council on July 12, 1983; and WHEREAS, the City Council introduced an ordinance aoproving the revised development plan and referred the revised plan back to the Planning Commission for their report and recommendation; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on July 13, 1983 recommended approval of the revised site plans; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this development plan is consistent with the General Plan policies of the City of Pleasanton. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
