CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STALE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS <br />INITIATED BY COUNCIL, AND GIVING NOTICE OF <br />PROPOSED ANNEXATION DESIGNATED: <br /> <br />AI~NF~ NO. 18, FOOTHILL ANNEX "A" <br /> <br />The City Council in the City of Pleasanton does hereby RESOLVE <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. These proceedings are initiated by the Council of <br />the City of Pleasanton to annex to the City of Pleasanton all <br />that uninhabited territory described below. The Council acts <br />on its own motion, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited <br />Territory Act of 1939, (Sections 35300 et seq. of the Government <br />Code) as amended. <br /> <br /> 2. The City Council does hereby desire to annex said <br />uninhabited territory for the following reasons: <br /> <br /> Said territory is contiguous to the City, <br /> and the first of a series of annexations <br /> necessary in expanding the City boundaries to <br /> the north and to the west. The area can be <br /> served by city sewer and water, and is the <br /> next logical step in the city's growth. <br /> <br /> 3. Said uninhabited territory is situated in the Town- <br />ship of Pleasanton, County of Alameda, State of California and is <br />further designated and described as follows: <br /> <br /> SEE EXHIBIT "~', ATTACHED HERETO AND <br /> MADE A PART HEREOF. <br /> <br /> 4. The Boundary Commission of Alameda County, Californ- <br />ia, approved the above described and proposed boundaries of said <br />territory, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
