CiTY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA 3180 RE:SOLUTInN NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON CONSENTING TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION NO. 17, STANLEY BOULEVARD, ANNEX A". WHEREAS, on February 27, 1961, certain property owners presented to the City Council of the City of Pleasanton a petition requesting the council to give its consent to the commencement of annexation proceedings in connection with that certain inhabited territory therein referred to and generally described, which is contiguous to the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton has reported favorably and does recommend said annexation; and WHEREAS, The Alameda County Boundary Commission by Report No. 661 dated April 4, 1961, did suggest certain minor changes in description and boundary of said annexation, which have been fully considered by the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, the City Council gives this consent upon condition that the electors within skid territory be informed at the time the petition for annexation is circulated that the questions to be submitted to said electors shall be whether the territory shall be annexed, and the property in the territory shall be subjected to taxation equally with the property within the City of Pleasanton to pay the entire bonded indebtedness of the City of Pleasanton outstanding or authorized on the date of the first publication of the Notice of Election. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: 1) The City Council does hereby consent to the cou,mencement of annexation proceedings in connection with the inhabited territory described below pursuant to the Annexation Act of 1913, Section 35100 et seq of the Government Code of the State of California. 2) Said consent is granted upon condition that the Petition for Annexation contains a request that the question to be submitted to the electors residing in said territory shall be whether the territory shall be annexed, and the proper- ty in the territory subjected to taxation after annexation equally with the property within the City of Pleasanton, to pay the bonded indebtedness of the City of Pleasnnton outstanding or authorized at the date of first publication of the Notice of Election. 3) Said unincorporated territory is hereby designated as '~nnex No. 17, Stanley Boulevard, Annex A", and is further described as follows: SEE EXHIBIT '~", a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
