CiTY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> 3180 <br />RE:SOLUTInN NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON CONSENTING <br />TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS <br />FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN INHABITED <br />TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION <br />NO. 17, STANLEY BOULEVARD, ANNEX A". <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on February 27, 1961, certain property owners <br /> presented to the City Council of the City of Pleasanton a <br /> petition requesting the council to give its consent to the <br /> commencement of annexation proceedings in connection with that <br /> certain inhabited territory therein referred to and generally <br /> described, which is contiguous to the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br /> has reported favorably and does recommend said annexation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Alameda County Boundary Commission by Report <br /> No. 661 dated April 4, 1961, did suggest certain minor changes <br /> in description and boundary of said annexation, which have been <br /> fully considered by the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council gives this consent upon condition <br /> that the electors within skid territory be informed at the time <br /> the petition for annexation is circulated that the questions to <br /> be submitted to said electors shall be whether the territory <br /> shall be annexed, and the property in the territory shall be <br /> subjected to taxation equally with the property within the <br />City of Pleasanton to pay the entire bonded indebtedness of the <br />City of Pleasanton outstanding or authorized on the date of the <br />first publication of the Notice of Election. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1) The City Council does hereby consent to the cou,mencement <br />of annexation proceedings in connection with the inhabited <br />territory described below pursuant to the Annexation Act of <br />1913, Section 35100 et seq of the Government Code of the State <br />of California. <br /> <br /> 2) Said consent is granted upon condition that the <br />Petition for Annexation contains a request that the question <br />to be submitted to the electors residing in said territory <br />shall be whether the territory shall be annexed, and the proper- <br />ty in the territory subjected to taxation after annexation <br />equally with the property within the City of Pleasanton, to pay <br />the bonded indebtedness of the City of Pleasnnton outstanding <br />or authorized at the date of first publication of the Notice <br />of Election. <br /> <br /> 3) Said unincorporated territory is hereby designated as <br />'~nnex No. 17, Stanley Boulevard, Annex A", and is further <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />SEE EXHIBIT '~", a copy of which is attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> <br /> <br />
