(W-TRANS), AND FEHR AND PEERS FOR THE NOT-TO-EXCEED <br /> AMOUNT OF $100,000 (EACH) FOR ON CALL TRANSPORTATION <br /> PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City of Pleasanton requires new development to mitigate traffic impacts generated <br /> by their projects. Developers are required to fund a traffic impact analyses (TIA) to <br /> determine the development's impact on the network. The analysis is managed by City <br /> staff. The On Call Transportation Professional Services contracts allow for a more <br /> efficient project completion by eliminating the need to advertise the TIA project and seek <br /> individual contract approval. Each contract will be in the not-to-exceed amount of <br /> $100,000. The majority of this contract work will be paid for by the developers. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Approve the contracts with Hexagon Transportation Consultants, Inc., Whitlock & <br /> Weinberger Transportation, Inc. (W-Trans), and Fehr and Peers for On Call <br /> Transportation Professional Services for the not-to-exceed amount of $100,000 <br /> (each contract). <br /> 2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the attached contracts. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The On Call Transportation Professional Services Contracts will be funded by <br /> developers as TIA studies become necessary. It is anticipated that the On Call Services <br /> will be used for City of Pleasanton projects on occasion; this work will be funded <br /> through Traffic Engineering's professional services account. The Housing Element <br /> Update and the Hacienda Transit Oriented Development guidelines were two projects <br /> that were recently completed by the existing On Call Transportation Services and paid <br /> for through the professional services account. <br />
