CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> SLATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OPPOSING PROPOSITION <br />NO. 3, SENATE REAPPORTIONMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton, <br />Alameda County, California has considered Proposition No. 23, <br />Senate Reapportionment Initiative Constitutional Amendment, <br />appearing on the ballot for the general election November 6, 1962 <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> W14EREAS, <br />based on the <br /> <br /> the existing method of legislative apportionment <br /> <br /> federal system appears to be equitable and working <br />satisfactorily; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, support of Proposition No. 23 would place control <br />of the state government in political organizations of several <br />heavily populated counties. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The City Council does hereby officially go on record as <br />being unconditionally opposed to Proposition No. 23, <br /> <br />Senate Reapportionment Initiative Constitutional Amendment. <br /> <br /> 2.
