RESOL~ION DECKING ~NE~TION PROCEEDINGS INIT~TED BY CO~CIL, ~D GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ~NE~TION DESIGNATED: ANNEXATION NO. 21~ FOOTHILL ANNEX The City Council in the City of Pleasanton does hereby RESOLVE as follows: 1. These proceedings are initiated by the Council of the City of Pleasanton to annex to the City of Pleasanton all that uninhabited territory described below. The Council acts on its own motion, pursuant to the ~.~nnexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, (Sections 35300 et seq. of the Government Code) as amended. 2. The City Council does hereby desire to annex said unin- habited territory for the following reasons: Said territory is contiguous to the City, and one of a series of annexations necessary in expanding the City Boundaries to the south and to the west. The area can be served by city sewer and water, and is a logical step in the city's growth. 3. Said uninhabited territory is situated in the Township of Pleasanton, County of Alameda, State of California and is further designated and described as follows: SEE EXHIBIT ,l^~,?, ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF. 4. The Boundary Commission of Alameda County, California, approved the above described and proposed boundaries of said territory, as follows: Report and Recommendation No. 718, dated June 20, 1962. 5. The time and place is hereby fixed when and where any person owning real property within the uninhabited territory described above and proposed to be annexed to the City of Pleasant¢ and having any objections thereto, may appear before the Council and show cause why such annexation should not take place, to wit: AT THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, 603 MAIN STREET, PLEASANTON, CALIFORNIA, AT 8:00 P.M., MONDAY, OCTOBER 22, 1962. Such protest must be filed in writing, and may be filed at any time before the hour set for hearing objections to the propose~ annexation, and sPall state the name or names ?f the owner or ~ owners of ~roperty affected, and the descrlptzon and area of such ~ property, in general terms. !
