I~ANENT BAY AREA I~[D <br />TRANSIT DISTRICT HEADQUARTERS <br /> <br /> WMEREAS, the Bay Area Rapid Transit District, a <br />governmental body, includes within its boundaries the City of <br />Pleasanton; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, much of the proposed construction of a rapid <br />transit system and network would be located within and serving <br />the Eastbay area; and <br /> <br />W~LEREAS, the Eastbay would be a central place for <br />location of any permanent headquarters and office facilities; <br /> <br /> BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED: <br /> <br /> That the officers of the Bay Area Rapid Transit <br />District are hereby urged by the City Council to locate temporary <br />and later permanent office and headquarters somewhere in the <br /> <br />Eastbay area. <br /> <br /> That the City Clerk shall cause <br />be mailed to all interested parties. <br />Adopted: January 21, 1963. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />this resolution to <br /> <br />JORN ~.
