18.08.205 Fuel Cell Facili~ <br /> <br />"Fuel cell £acili~. ' means one or more electrical power generators which <br />convert either hydrogen or a hydrocarbon-basedfuel into electricity <br />through an electrochemical reaction, and which is.further d~fined as <br />.follows: <br /> <br />A. "Large"- eleven (11) to less than fi.f~(50) megawatts in combined total <br />size, and for which some or all of the electricity produced is exported off <br />site. <br /> <br />B. "Medium"- either (i) one to ten (1 to 10) megawatts in combined total <br />size or, (ii) eleven (11) to less than fif~(50) megawatts in combined tot_u! <br />size, if no electrici~ is exported off site. <br /> <br />C. "Small" - less than one (1) megawatt in combined total size. <br /> <br />The size ora.fuel cell.faciliW, does not pertain to emergent, standby.fuel cell <br />.facilities, as defined by this Chapter. <br /> <br />18.0&230 Grid <br /> <br />"Grid" means the electrical distribution and transmission system in <br /> <br />Pleasanton. <br /> <br />18.08.335 Megawatt <br /> <br />"Megawatt" means 1,000 kilowatts or 1,000,000 watts. <br /> <br />18.08.370 Nuclear Power Facility <br /> <br />"Nuclear power facili.tv" means one or more electrical power generators <br />that convert heat produced in a reactor by the.fissioning of nuclear fuel <br />into electricity by using the heat created to drive an engine or turbine. <br /> <br /> Page 3 <br />Draft Ordinance for Case PRZ- 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
