Resolution No. 03-064 <br />Page Four <br /> <br />Section 6: <br /> <br />A simple majority of current membership shall constitute a quorum. A meeting at which <br />a quorum is initially present may continue to transact business, notwithstanding the <br />withdrawal of members, if any action is approved by at least a majority of the required <br />quorum. A simple majority of the quorum shall be required to conduct business. <br /> <br />Section 7: Committee officers shall be selected and serve as follows: <br /> <br />The Committee by majority vote shall elect for a term of one year a chairperson <br />and vice chairperson from among its members. Officers shall be elected at the <br />October meeting and assume office at the following January meeting. <br /> <br />The chairperson shall be responsible for the conduct of meetings, the preparation <br />of agenda and other duties normally associated with a chairperson. <br /> <br />The vice chairperson shall perform those duties assigned by the chairperson and <br />act for the chairperson in the latter's absence. <br /> <br />No member of the Committee shall serve more than two successive full terms as <br />chairperson. <br /> <br />The vice chairperson shall transition into chairperson following the chairperson's <br />term. <br /> <br />Section 8: <br /> <br />The Economic Development Manger or his/her designated representative shall <br />serve as secretary to the Committee. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON JUNE 3, 2003 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Ayala, Brozosky, Campbell, Hosterman, and Mayor Pico <br /> <br />A/PPROVED AS TO FORM~ <br /> <br />Peggy E'. ~zf'dr~, Cffy Clerk <br /> <br />Michael H.
