CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 1071 AN ORDINANCE RELATED TO AMUSEMENT DEVICES AND GAME ARCADES AMENDING SECTION 2-5.20, ARTICLE 2 (DEFINITIONS),AND SECTION 2-7.80 (PERMITTED AND CONDITIONAL USES), ARTICLE 8 ('C' COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS), CHAPTER 2 (ZONING), TITLE II (ZONING AND DEVELOPmeNT) OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: 'Section 2-5.20, Article 2 (Definitions), Chapter 2 (Zoning), Title II (Zoning and Development) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is amended to add the definition of "Game Arcade" as subsection d., relettering the remaining subsections, as follows: d. Game Arcade. Any business which provides for public use two (2) or more commercial amusement devices as defined by Section 4-4.22a, Article 11, Chapter 2, Title IV of this Code or any business with fewer such devices where their operation is the primary business function. Section 2: Section 2-7.80a (Permitted and Conditional Uses), Article 8 ('C' Commercial Districts), Chapter 2 (Zoning), Title II (Zoning and Development) is amended to modify wording and to indicate that "Game Arcades" are conditional uses in certain zoning districts. Section 3: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Pleasanton.
