CITY OF PLEASANTOi'I <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORN!A <br /> <br />1~1~'8 0 LIJTI 0 N ND,__ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION URGING SUPPORT OF ASSEMBLY <br />BILL 1519, and ASSEMBLY BILL 1702 <br />CONCERNING REGIONAL PARK DISTRICTS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is one of thirteen (13) <br />cities in Alameda County affected directly or indirectly by <br />the East Bay Regional Park District; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is vitally concerned with <br />long range park and recreational facilities for Eastern Alameda <br />County; '~ <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The City Council does hereby endorse and urge support <br />of Assembly. .Bill 1519, permitting a five cent tax levy for a <br />per~od_o~ fzve years, restricted for acquisition of land and <br />capital improvements. <br /> <br /> 2. The City Council does endorse and urge support for <br />Assembly Bill 1702, permitting Regional Park Districts to <br />increase the number of directors from five to seven. <br /> <br /> 3.
