CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> 394 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RE URBAN PLANNING ASSISTANCE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton desires to provide for a <br />planning study contributing to an over-all program for future <br />community development, the preservation of community values, the <br />prevention of conditions tending to cause urban blight, and to <br />the promotion of the general health, safety and welfare of its <br />citizens; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the State Department of Finance, under authority <br />of Chapter 1641, Statutes of 1959, may provide planning assistan¢ <br />for such a program and receive financial assistance from the <br />Urban Renewal Administration, as authorized by Section 701 of <br />the Housing Act of 1954, as amended (Public Laws, 83rd Congress) <br />now therefore, be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />hereby requests the State Department of Finance to provide <br />planning assistance under authority of Chapter 1641, Statutes <br />of 1959, with such financial assistance as may be provided by <br />the Urban Renewal Administration, under authority of Section 701 <br />of the Housing Act of 1954, as amended (Public Laws 860, 83rd <br />Congress). That such planning assistance is more particularly <br />described in a project description that is attached hereto and <br />made a part of this resolution as if fully set forth herein. <br /> <br /> THAT, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton, subject to <br />approval of such planning assistance by the State and Federal <br />authorities, hereby authorizes: <br /> <br />(a) payment to the State Department of Finance of a sum <br /> not to exceed $10,360.67 and, <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />use of personnel of the City of Pleasanton for <br />technical assistance in this project, which assistance <br />has an estimated value of $3,054.00. <br /> <br /> THAT, the total estimated cost of the City of Pleasanton's <br />project as planned is $40,244.00. <br /> <br /> THAT, the Mayor of the City of Pleasanton be, and he hereby <br />is authorized and empowered to execute in the name of the City <br />all necessary applications, contracts, and agreements to imple- <br />ment and carry out the purposes specified in this resolution. <br /> <br /> Passed by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton this <br />13th day of May 1963, and effective this May 13, 1963/ <br /> <br />HELEN WOODWARD, City Clerk <br /> <br /> I certify that the foregoing <br />the original Resolution No. 3394, <br />file in my office. <br /> <br />SEAL <br /> <br />is a true and correct copy of <br />adopted May 13, 1963, and on <br /> <br /> <br />
