CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 1068 APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO REZONE APPROXIMATELY 13.0 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF BERNAL AVENUE EXTENSION BETWEEN THE EASTERN RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF THE WESTERN PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY AND THE EASTERN RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY FROM THE "0" (OFFICE), "I-P" (INDUSTRIAL PARK), AND UNZONED DISTRICTS AND TO PREZONE APPROXIMATELY 16.0 ACRES IMMEDIATELY TO THE SOUTH FOR A TOTAL OF APPROXIMATELY 29 ACRES TO THE PUD (PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT)-HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to rezone an approximately 13.0 acre site located just south of Bernal Avenue Extension and generally between the rights-of-way of the Western'Pacifid Railroad and Southern Pacific Transportation Companies from the "0" (Office) and "I-P" (Industrial Park) Districts to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High Density Residential District; and WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has also applied to prezone the 16.0 acres of unincorDorated ~and just south of the above-noted area to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High Density Residential District; and WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report was prepared and approved for this matter on June 1, 1981 by the City Council for GP-80-8; and WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's recommendation for approval of the rezoning and prezoning; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on January 11, 1983; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this rezoning and prezoning is consistent with the General Plan policies of the City of Pleasanton; THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves the rezoning of an approximately 13.0 acre site located on the south side of Bernal Avenue Extension between the eastern right-of-way line of
