CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1068 <br /> <br /> APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> TO REZONE APPROXIMATELY 13.0 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED <br /> ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF BERNAL AVENUE EXTENSION BETWEEN <br /> THE EASTERN RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF THE WESTERN PACIFIC <br /> RAILROAD COMPANY AND THE EASTERN RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE <br /> OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY FROM <br /> THE "0" (OFFICE), "I-P" (INDUSTRIAL PARK), AND <br /> UNZONED DISTRICTS AND TO PREZONE APPROXIMATELY 16.0 <br /> ACRES IMMEDIATELY TO THE SOUTH FOR A TOTAL OF <br /> APPROXIMATELY 29 ACRES TO THE PUD (PLANNED UNIT <br /> DEVELOPMENT)-HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to rezone an <br /> approximately 13.0 acre site located just south of <br /> Bernal Avenue Extension and generally between the <br /> rights-of-way of the Western'Pacifid Railroad and <br /> Southern Pacific Transportation Companies from the <br /> "0" (Office) and "I-P" (Industrial Park) Districts <br /> to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High Density <br /> Residential District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has also applied to prezone <br /> the 16.0 acres of unincorDorated ~and just south <br /> of the above-noted area to the PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development)-High Density Residential District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report was prepared and <br /> approved for this matter on June 1, 1981 by the <br /> City Council for GP-80-8; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's <br /> recommendation for approval of the rezoning and <br /> prezoning; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on January 11, <br /> 1983; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this rezoning and <br /> prezoning is consistent with the General Plan <br /> policies of the City of Pleasanton; <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Approves the rezoning of an approximately 13.0 <br /> acre site located on the south side of Bernal Avenue <br /> Extension between the eastern right-of-way line of <br /> <br /> <br />
