CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION TERMINATING PRIOR PROCEEDINGS, <br /> DECLARING PROCEEDINGS INITIATED BY COUNCIL, <br /> AND GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION <br /> DESIGNATED: <br /> <br /> "ANNEXATION NO. 24-B FOOTHILLANNEX C-2" <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Pleasanton does hereby <br /> RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. A Notice of Intent To Circulate Petition For Incorpora- <br />tion was received by the County Clerk, covering certain areas <br />northwest of the City of Pleasanton. The status of the City's <br />annexation program was uncertain, in that Section 34302.6 of <br />the Government Code provides a ninety (90) day restriction on <br />further notices of intent to incorporate and further annexation <br />for any of the same territory. The ninety day restriction <br />expired 11:59 P.M., April 18, 1963. Accordingly, there is no <br />restriction on the annexation program northwest of the present <br />City Boundaries. <br /> <br /> 2. Proceedings known as "Annexation No. 24-A Foothill <br />Annex C-i", comenced by Resolution No. 3381, adopted April 1, <br />1963, are hereby cancelled and terminated, there having been no <br />protests received by the City Clerk. <br /> <br /> 3. These new, amended and revised proceedings are initiated <br />by the Council of the City of Pleasanton to annex to the City <br />of Pleasanton all that uninhabited territory described below. <br />The Council acts on its own motion, pursuant to the "Annexation <br />of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939", (Sections 35300 et seq. <br />of the Government Code) as amended. <br /> <br /> 4. The City Council does hereby desire to annex said un- <br />inhabited territory for the following reasons: <br /> <br /> Said territory is contiguous to the City, a <br /> part of the enlargened General Plan, and one <br /> of a series of annexations necessary in expand- <br /> ing the City Boundaries to the north and to the <br /> west. The area can be served by city sewer and <br /> <br /> <br />
