RESOLUTION TERMINATING PRIOR PROCEEDINGS, DECLARING PROCEEDINGS INITIATED BY COUNCIL, AND GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION DESIGNATED: "ANNEXATION NO. 24-A FOOTHILL ANNEX C-l" The City Council of the City of Pleasanton does hereby RESOLVE as follows: 1. Proceedings known as "Annexation No. 24, Foothill Annex C", commenced by Resolution No. 3364, adopted February 18, 1963, are hereby cancelled and terminated, there having been no protests received by the City Clerk. 2. These new, amended and revised proceedings are in- itiated by the Council of the City of Pleasanton to annex to the City of Pleasanton all that uninhabited territory described below. The Council acts on its own motion, pursuant to the "annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939", (Sections 35300 et seq. of the Government Code) as amended. 3. The City Council does hereby desire to annex said uninhabited territory for the following reasons: Said territory is contiguous to the City, a part of the enlargened General Plan, and one of a series of annexations necessary in ex- panding the City Boundaries to the north and to the west. The area can be served by city sewer and water, and is the next ld~gical step in the city's growth. The owners of most of the territory have the desire to develop their land, and have requested the City in writing that these proceedings be initiated. 4. Said uninhabited territory is situated in the Township of Pleasanton, County of Alameda, State of California, is further designated as "Annexation No. 24-A, Foothill Annex C-i", and described as follows: SEE EXHIBIT ,~,l ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF. - 1-
