CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1067 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE ORDERING AN ELECTION TO BE HELD ON <br /> APRIL 19, 1983 TO SUBMIT ORDINANCE NO. 1056 <br /> (QUAIL CREEK PROJECT) TO THE VOTERS OF THE CITY <br /> OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on December 22, 1982, the City of Pleasanton received <br /> a petition to referend Ordinance No. 1056; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the petition was forwarded to the Alameda County <br /> Registrar of Voters for verification of the signa- <br /> tures; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 11, 1983, the City Council adopted <br /> Resolution No. 83-12 accepting the Certification <br /> of Referendum Petitions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council's action regarding referended <br /> ordinances is governed by Section 4055 of the <br /> Election Code; <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1: Council orders an election to be held on April 19, <br /> 1983, to submit Ordinance No. 1056 to the voters of <br /> the City of Pleasanton. The proposed ballot language <br /> shall be as shown on Exhibit "A". <br /> Section 2: The County Registrar of Voters is to be notified that the election is to be held on that date. <br /> Section 3: Direct arguments for and against Ordinance No. 1056 <br /> are to be submitted to the City Clerk by February 9, <br /> 1983 at 5:00 p.m. <br /> Section 4: Rebuttal arguments are to be submitted to the City <br /> Clerk by February 23, 1983 at 5:00 p.m. <br /> Section 5: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a <br /> newspaper of general circulation published in the City <br /> of Pleasanton. <br /> Section 6: This ordinance shall take effect immediately pursuant <br /> to Government Code Section 36937(a). <br /> <br /> <br />
