CiTY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIEORNIA <br /> <br />n~"BOLUTION NO.__~ 4 ,~ 5 <br /> <br />OPPOSING APPLICATION OF WESTERN PACIFIC <br />RAILROAD COMPANY TO CLOSE AGENCY STATION <br />AT PLEASANTON, CALIFORNIA. <br /> <br /> WHEREAs, the Western Pacific Railroad Company has filed <br /> application No. 45525 before the Public Utilities Cormnission of <br /> the State of California, requesting that San Leandro, Hayward <br /> and Pleasanton stations be served by ~ on-agency~ stations; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Pleasanton A:ea Chamber of Commerce and the <br />City Council of the City of Pleasanton have considered the effect <br />such a reduction in service would have upon the fate and <br />passenger service of the Pleasanton area; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The City of Pleasanton does hereby officially oppose the <br />application of the Western Pacific Railroad Company, being <br />Public Utilities Commission No. 45525, for the closing of the <br />agency station at Pleasanton, California. <br /> <br /> 2. The City officers and staff are hereby instructed to <br />formally present the City's position, in cooperation with the <br />Chamber of Commerce and the citizens of the co~nunity, at the <br />public hearing set at Hayward, California, egznnlng October 8, <br />1963. <br /> <br /> 3. The City Clerk shall forward certified copies of this <br />resolution to interested parties and public agencies. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED: September 30, 1963. <br /> <br /> /JOHN L.
