Councilmember Sullivan stated that as <br /> demonstrated with the Hacienda Task Force and Affordable Housing Task Force, it can be done <br /> in a timely and comprehensive fashion. <br /> Councilmember McGovern referred to the Downtown Hospitality Zone description which states, <br /> "work closely with the City of Pleasanton", and she suggested changing the verbiage a bit. Mr. <br /> Fialho agreed and pointed out these were priorities that were recommended by the PDA for <br /> consideration, and wording can be reflected more to be City-initiated or driven. <br /> Vice Mayor Cook-Kallio said she met with members of the PDA to discuss this and she does not <br /> believe it is inconsistent with what their vision is. What they were trying to do is reach out and <br /> figure out a way to incorporate people and have a conversation. <br /> Councilmember Thorne said the Work Plan is aggressive and he hopes the City will be able to <br /> find money to do some of the capital projects. Councilmembers agreed. <br /> MOTION: It was M/S by Cook-Kallio/McGovern to approve the City Council Work Plan for <br /> 2011/2012. Motion carried by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> Councilmember Sullivan said in responding to Fred Norman's request, he thanked the Mayor for <br /> supporting the resolution and he would like to see support from the Council to pass a resolution <br /> in support of the U.S. Mayors Conference resolution to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. <br /> Mayor Hosterman confirmed no additional support on adoption of a resolution from <br /> Councilmembers. <br /> COUNCIL REPORTS: None <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:48 p.m. The Council <br /> extended a tribute to our nation's men and women serving in the military.
