CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFOP~IIA ORDINANCE NO. 1062 ORDINANCE ~NDING ARTICLE 1 (SOLICITORS AND CERTAIN BUSINESSES), CHAPTER 2 (SPECIAL PERMITS), TITLE IV OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON REGARDING CHARITABLE SOLICITATIONS WHEREAS, in order to clarify the regulation of charitable solicitations by this ordinance it is necessary to indicate what fees are to be charged and to include a definition of what is meant by "charity;" THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 Section 4-1.25(b) and (c) is amended to read: "(b) The permanent home address, full local address, driver's license number and social security number of applicant and employee." "(c) A brief description of the nature of the business, the goods to be sold, and organiza- tional documents as appropriate." Section 2: Section 4-1.25 of the Pleasanton Code is amended by repealing the last sentence thereof and addin~ the following in its place: "Upon the filing of the application, the applicant shall pay a fee of $25.00 to aid in defraying the cost of regulation. A fee of $18.50 shall be paid for each employee for whom photographing and fingerprinting is required.n Section 3: Section 4-1.30 is amended by deleting the phrase "charitable purpose" and substitutin~ therein the word "charity". Section 4: Section 4-1.31(1) of the Pleasanton Code is amended to read: "1. The name of any organization on whose behalf contributions are to be solicited, its address, the names of its principal officers and appropriate organizational documents. 2. The name, driver's license number and social security number of each applicant who will solicit."
