THE CITY OF <br /> # ^ ' NTO CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT 09 <br /> pL£ASANTONe <br /> July 19, 2011 <br /> Community Development <br /> Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY JJR <br /> CONSTRUCTION FOR THE ANNUAL SIDEWALK MAINTENANCE <br /> PROJECT, CIP NO. 095012 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Annual Sidewalk Maintenance project consisted of removal and replacement of <br /> damaged concrete sidewalk; driveways; curb and gutter; and curb through drains; and <br /> installation of new ADA access ramps on various City streets as listed in Attachment 1. <br /> The project is complete and ready for acceptance by City Council. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the improvements for the subject project. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion. <br /> 3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $11,293.61 to JJR <br /> Construction thirty days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> 4. Transfer the project balance in the amount of $327,132 to CIP No. 105012, <br /> Annual Sidewalk Maintenance. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> This project replaced and upgraded existing infrastructure and should not increase <br /> maintenance costs. The construction of the project was performed within the approved <br /> budget using funding that was allocated for this purpose as part of the 2009-10 Capital <br /> Improvement Program. <br />
