RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AUTHORIZING EMPLOYER PAID MEMBER CONTRIBUTIONS (EPMC) <br /> WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Pleasanton has the authority to <br /> implement Government Code Section 20691; and <br /> WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Pleasanton has a written agreement <br /> which specifically provides for the normal member contributions to be paid by the <br /> employer; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the steps in the procedures to implement Section 20691 is the <br /> adoption by the governing body of the City of Pleasanton of a Resolution to commence <br /> said Employer Paid Member Contributions (EPMC); and <br /> WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Pleasanton has identified the <br /> following conditions for the purpose of its election to pay EPMC. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER <br /> THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1: This benefit shall apply to all employees covered by Pleasanton City <br /> Employees Association/AFSCME Local 955. <br /> SECTION 2: This benefit shall consist of paying: <br /> • 6% effective July 9, 2011; <br /> • 5% effective December 10, 2011; <br /> • 4% effective July 7, 2012 per the Memorandum of Understanding with <br /> Pleasanton City Employees Association/AFSCME Local 955. <br /> SECTION 3: That the governing body of the City of Pleasanton elects to pay EPMC, <br /> as set forth above. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on July 19, 2011. <br />
