MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AND <br /> SPECIAL MEETING OF THE LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES <br /> June 21, 2011 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Vice Mayor Cook-Kallio called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. <br /> Councilmember Thorne led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided introductory remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Sullivan, Thorne, Vice Mayor Cook-Kallio <br /> Absent: Councilmember McGovern, Mayor Hosterman <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> City Attorney Lowell stated a letter of agreement as provided in the agenda packet regarding <br /> Item 14. A substitute amendment agreement and equipment loan agreement have been <br /> distributed to the Council, and staff recommends approval of the two documents instead of the <br /> document included in the packet. All terms remain the same, except that the City is using a <br /> different mechanism. <br /> Councilmember Thorne disclosed that for the purposes of voting on Item 9, he is a member of <br /> the Museum on Main and his wife is a member on the Board of Directors and they receive no <br /> compensation. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Administrative Services <br /> 1. Approved a contract with Innovative Claim Solutions, Inc., to provide third-party <br /> administration of workers' compensation claims <br /> Community Development <br /> 2. Accepted actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br /> 3. Approved plans and specifications, review bids and award construction contract to Tim <br /> Paxin's Pacific Excavation, Inc. in the amount of $456,577 for traffic signal installation at <br /> the intersection of West Las Positas Boulevard and Muirwood Drive (CIP No. 095032), <br /> and intersection improvements at Stoneridge Drive and Stoneridge Mall Road, CIP No. <br /> 105032 <br /> 4. Approve plans and specifications, review bids, and award construction contract to O'Grady <br /> Paving, Inc. in the amount of $1,352,422.40 for the Pavement Rehabilitation of Various <br /> City Streets project, CIP No. 105036/Federal Project No. STPL-5101(025) <br /> 5. Public Hearing: Adopted Resolution 11-457 confirming the engineers report and levying <br /> the 2011-2012 annual assessment for Landscape and Lighting Maintenance District 1993- <br />
