EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES FIRST RESPONDER ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORI AGREEMENT (REV 2/17/11) <br /> Medical Priority Dispatch The system that categorizes emergency calls using an escalating scale of severity assigned to <br /> System ("MPDS") medical conditions, relative to the level and timeliness of response. <br /> Multi-Casualty Incident A Multi-Casualty Incident(MCI) is any incident where the number of injured persons exceeds <br /> ("MCI") the day-to-day operating capabilities and requires additional resources and/or the <br /> distribution of patients to multiple hospitals. <br /> Mutual-Aid Emergency service performed by neighboring providers during periods of severe weather, <br /> multi-casualty incidents, or other events that overwhelm existing resources. <br /> Paramedic As defined in California Health and Safety Code, Division 2.5, §1797.84. <br /> PCR Patient Care Record, in either print or electronic form. <br /> Primary Service Area The jurisdictions or areas for which the responding agency is responsible to provide <br /> emergency response. See EXHIBIT A FOR A DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTRACTOR'S PRIMARY SERVICE AREA. <br /> The time elapsed from the time a call is received by Contractor from the Dispatch Center, <br /> Response Time until Arrival at the Incident Location by the FRALS. <br /> As defined in the California Code of Regulations, Title 22,Chapter 12 and EMSA#166: EMS <br /> Quality Improvement System Quality Improvement Guidelines. <br /> State The State of California, its departments and/or agencies. <br /> Designation of Metro/Urban,Suburban/Rural and Wilderness Primary Service Area, as <br /> Subarea <br /> depicted in EXHIBIT B-DEPICTION AND DEFINITION OF SUBAREAS. <br />
