"Article 6B <br /> Housing Authority <br /> <br />§1-3.33.05 Creation. The Housing Authority of the City of <br /> Pleasanton created by resolution of the City Council in <br /> 1943 is hereby established by ordinance in accordance <br /> with Section 34201 et seq. of the Health and Safety <br /> Code. <br /> <br />§1-3.33.10 Appointment and Term. <br /> <br /> (a) Board of Commissioners - There shall be a Board of <br /> Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City <br /> of Pleasanton consisting of seven (7) Commissioners. <br /> <br /> (b) Manner of Appointment - Commission members shall <br /> be appointed by the City Council of Pleasanton <br /> upon recommendation by the Mayor. <br /> <br /> (c) Qualifications <br /> <br /> (1) Five Commissioners shall be qualified electors <br /> of the City of Pleasanton who shall serve for <br /> four (4) year terms. <br /> <br /> (2) Two Commissioners shall be residents of <br /> projects operated by the Housing Authority, <br /> one of whom shall be 62 years of age or <br /> older, and, when qualified applicants are <br /> available, shall be from different projects. <br /> The tenant Commissioners shall serve for two <br /> (2) year terms. <br /> <br /> (d) Existing Commissioners - All existing Commissioners <br /> of the Housing Authority shall be continued in <br /> office for their established terms. <br /> <br /> (e) Vacancies - In the case of a vacancy, appointment <br /> shall be for the remainder of retiring Commissioner's <br /> term. <br /> <br /> §1-3.33.15 Maintenance of Membership. Persons appointed <br /> to the Board shall continue to serve as Commissioners <br /> until: <br /> <br /> (a) Expiration of the term. <br /> <br /> (b) Voluntary resignation from the Board. <br /> <br /> (c) Absence without excuse from three consecutive <br /> regular meetings of the Board. The minutes of the <br /> Board shall record attendance and excused absences <br /> of Commissioners. <br /> <br /> -6- <br /> <br /> <br />
