(d) Qualifications <br /> <br /> (1) Five Commissioners shall serve for four (4) year <br /> terms. <br /> <br /> (2) Two Commissioners shall be residents of projects <br /> operated by the Housing Authority, one of whom <br /> shall be 62 years of age or older, and, when <br /> qualified applicants are available, shall be from <br /> different projects. The tenant Commissioners shall <br /> serve for two (2) year terms. <br /> <br /> (e) Existing Commissioners - All existing Commissioners of <br /> the Housing Authority shall be continued in office as <br /> members of the Housing Commission for their established <br /> terms. <br /> <br /> (f) Vacancies - In the case of a vacancy, appointment shall <br /> be for the remainder of retiring Commissioner's term. <br /> <br />§1-3.33.15 Maintenance of Membership. Persons appointed to the <br /> Housing Commission shall continue to serve as Commissioners <br /> until: <br /> <br /> (a) Expiration of the term. <br /> <br /> (b) Voluntary resignation from the Commission. <br /> <br /> (c) Absence without excuse from three consecutive regular <br /> meetings of the Commission. The minutes of the <br /> Commission shall record attendance and excused absences <br /> of Commissioners. <br /> <br /> (d) Removal from the office in accordance with Health and <br /> Safety Code Section 34282 by the City Council. <br /> <br />§1-3.33.20 Officers. The officers of the Commission shall be a <br /> Chairperson and a Vice Chairperson. <br /> <br /> (a) Chairperson - The Chairperson shall be Liaison with the <br /> City Council, Press and individual Commissioners. The <br /> Chairperson shall preside at all meetings of the <br /> Commission. <br /> <br /> (b) Vice Chairperson - The Vice Chairperson shall perform <br /> the duties of the Chairperson in the absence or <br /> incapacity of the Chairperson; and in the case of the <br /> resignation or death of the Chairperson, the Vice <br /> Chairperson shall perform such duties as are imposed on <br /> the Chairperson until such time as the Commission shall <br /> select a new Chairperson. <br /> <br /> (c) Additional Duties - The officers of the Commission shall <br /> perform such other duties and functions as may be <br /> required by the Board, the Commission or the By-Laws or <br /> rules and regulations of the Authority. <br /> <br /> - 2 - <br /> <br /> <br />
