- THE CITY OF OV
° ° " "
CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
pL£ASANTON,
May 3, 2011
Community Development
Engineering Division
TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY GALLAGHER &
BURK, INC. FOR THE OVERLAY OF VARIOUS CITY STREETS
(ARRA) PROJECT, CIP NO. 095014
SUMMARY
This project consisted of the resurfacing of approximately 570,000. square feet of
pavement surface on the following three portions of major arterial roadway: 1) Santa
Rita Road between Mohr Avenue and Valley Avenue; 2) Stoneridge Drive between
West Las Positas Boulevard and Santa Rita Road; and 3) Stoneridge Drive between
Foothill Road and Stoneridge Mall Road. Construction of the subject project is
complete and ready for acceptance by the City Council.
RECOMMENDATION
1. Accept the improvements for this project.
2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion.
3. Authorize payment of the project retention in the amount of $47,597.07 to Gallagher
& Burk, Inc. 30 days after recordation of the Notice of Completion.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
The project was authorized for reimbursement in the amount of $1,216,711 from the
federal government's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant.
