Management Updates for Kottinger Place and Ridge View Commons <br /> C. Miscellaneous Project Updates <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner Casey, to <br /> approve the consent calendar. The motion was approved unanimously. <br /> 6. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> There were no comments from members of the public regarding items not on the agenda. <br /> 7. MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DISCUSSION <br /> There were none. <br /> 8. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> A. Approval of Federal HOME Funds and City Lower Income Housing Funds <br /> Related to the Housing and Human Services Grant (HHSG) Program for Fiscal <br /> Year 2011 -12 <br /> Mr. Erickson reviewed the implementation of the new Housing and Human Services <br /> Grant (HHSG) program last year beginning with the Fiscal Year 2010 -11 funding cycle. <br /> He advised that the new program combined funding from the Community Development <br /> Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME (HOME Investment Partnership Program) federal <br /> grants and two local sources (the Lower Income Housing Fund and General Funds <br /> allocated for human services into a streamlined grant program. <br /> The Commission was informed by Mr. Erickson that a total of twenty -nine (29) <br /> applications were received by the January 24, 2011 deadline with a total funding request <br /> of $773,457. Most of these applications were reviewed by the Human Services <br /> Commission at their March 2, 2011 meeting. The applications being reviewed by the <br /> Housing Commission are for projects proposed to be funded with federal HOME funds <br /> and/or City Lower Income Housing Funds (LIHF). <br /> Mr. Erickson provided additional information regarding federal budget issues that could <br /> require adjustments to CDBG funding allocations. <br /> Page - 2 - <br />
