Pangestuti, a Pleasanton residence
Currently, I am renting my current home with considering to purchase one in this area.
After reading the PAP- 151/PDAR -2138 (Leroudier vs Susanto, Meadowwood Court) I felt curious whether it is
true that there is no guideline for the second story window addition in the city of Pleasanton.
As a future home -owner in Pleasanton and a mom of two, I think that privacy and security is important when I
choose my future home. I definitely put the privacy and security of my son and daughter above of every else.
Base on my experience living in Chicago, the place where I used to live (and until present I am a home owner in
Chicago), people value privacy and safety very much. In my opinion in the city as safe as Pleasanton, opening a
window, especially second story window is, sometimes, very intrusive towards privacy. And people should not
be allowed to open a window that is significantly impacting the adjacent neighbor's privacy and as a result will
no longer ensure the neighbor's safety.
The suggestion of planning staffs to plant 3 Leland Cypress tree between the planned window is fair. If trees
can reduce or eliminate the impact, that will be a good solution.
1 love Pleasanton and am planning to purchase property in Pleasanton in the near future. Certainly I would like
to see a city where privacy and security of the residence is valued.
Thank you for your kind attention,
Ake Pangestuti
Click here to report this email as Spam.
1
