THE CITY OF • O/\ <br /> ell <br /> [�L£�1S�4NTONo CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> March 15, 2011 <br /> Community Development <br /> Traffic Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION WITH THE <br /> CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR BICYCLE <br /> TRANSPORTATION ACCOUNT GRANT FUNDING <br /> SUMMARY <br /> This report recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution approving <br /> an application with the California Department of Transportation for Bicycle <br /> Transportation Account Grant Funding to construct on- street bicycle lanes on the <br /> Foothill Road at 1 -580 interchange. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Adopt a resolution authorizing an application with the California Department of <br /> Transportation for grant funding of $1,021,000 through the Bicycle Transportation <br /> Account to reconstruct the Foothill Road at 1 -580 Interchange and install Class 11 bike <br /> lanes. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The Bicycle Transportation Account Grant Fund requires the City provide matching <br /> funds in the amount of $103,000 should the grant be approved (10% of the total funding <br /> request). The Foothill interchange will be funded from a variety of sources. Each of the <br /> sources listed, with the exception of the CMAQ funding, is considered local funding. <br /> See the full list of funding in the table below. <br /> TVTC Regional Fees $ 380,000 <br /> TVTC Local Fees $ 73,000 <br /> CMAQ funding $ 709,000 <br /> Dougherty Valley Mitigation Revenue Funds $ 574,000 <br /> Stoneridge Business Center Enterprise Funds $ 500,000 <br /> CIP #095043 Bike & Pedestrian Improvements $ 103,000 <br /> Proposed Caltrans Bicycle Transportation Funds $1,021,000 <br /> Total $3,360,000 <br />
