Experience on Similar Projects
North County San Diego JPA & San Miguel Fire Department
CDCE was chosen as supplier and project manager for the North County JPA project
to rollout 285 wireless mobile data systems into fire engines and command vehicles
between North County JPA and the San Miguel area. The solution consisted of CF-
30s and PDRCs with integrated Verizon EVDO modems, internal and external GPS
devices, mounting hardware and installation services. CDCE also equipped all the
reserve units with mounting and power solutions to allow the CF -29s & 30s to be
easily swapped in minutes in case a frontline unit goes down. CDCE trained
department staff on use of the wireless MDCs and GPS systems. This has been an
on -going project over the last 3 years and every year CDCE has been asked to supply
and install additional MDC systems as funds become available. We provide breaklfix
repair service as needed.
NCSD: Joe Napier
(760) 535 -8505
SMFD: Gary Croucher
(619) 660 -5352
El Dorado County Fire Department
CDCE installed 120 MDC systems for El Dorado County. The solution included
Panasonic Toughbook CF -I9s and CF -30s covering all vehicle types. CDCE
supplied the Toughbooks, mounting hardware and antennas. The project was
completed in late 2008, but CDCE continues to support the county departments by
performing repairs and general maintenance services.
Dwight Piper
Battalion Chief
(916) 933 -6623
Fairfield Fire Department
CDCE provided the Fairfield Fire Department with 13 CF -31 Toughbooks, vehicle
mounting hardware kits, accessories, and installations beginning in late 2010.
Configuration is virtually identical to LPFD in that the CF -31 is Dual Pass Through,
and the solution incorporates Havis docking stations and CDCE - performed
installations. CDCE also supports the Fairfield Police Department's 100 MDCs.
Peter Perez
IT Manager
(707) 428-7541
cdce Engineered Solutions
