CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1205 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT DOGS WITH A PROPENSITY TO <br /> BITE OTHER ANIMALS ARE VICIOUS DOGS AND RELATED <br /> AMENDMENTS <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Article 1 of Chapter 3 of Title IV is amended at <br /> Section 4-5.02(m) P.M.C. to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "m. Health Officer means the Chief of Police of the <br /> City of Pleasanton or his authorized deputy or <br /> representative." <br />Section 2: Article 7 of Chapter 3 of Title IV P.M.C. relating to <br /> vicious dogs and the abatement thereof is amended to <br /> read as shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> Section 3: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times" a <br /> newspaper of general circulation published in the City <br /> of Pleasanton. <br /> Section 4: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days <br /> after the date of its final passage and adoption. <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br /> of pleasanton on June 18, 1985. <br /> ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br /> Pleasanton on July 2, 1985 by the following vote: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> ATTEST: RCER, MAYOR <br /> <br /> ~R W~ker, Ci lerk ~ <br /> By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br /> A~Ti~D AS TO FORM' <br /> D MacDonald,'~itY At 5rney <br /> <br /> <br />
