CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 03-035 WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2003 WEED ABATEMENT PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE ABATEMENT OF WEEDS, RUBBISH OR REFUSE UPON OR IN FRONT OF CERTAIN DESCRIBED PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON at its meeting of March 18, 2003, the City Council adopted Resolution 03-012 declaring as a public nuisance all weeds, rubbish or refuse upon or in fi'ont of certain described properties within the City of Pleasanton as more particularly set forth in Exhibit "A," attached thereto and attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and Resolution No. 03-012 was adopted pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Sections 39560-39588; and Resolution No. 03-012 designated April 15, 2003, at the hour of 7:00 pm, in the Pleasanton City Council Chambers, as the time, date and place to hear and consider objections to the abatement and removal of weeds, rubbish or refuse upon or in front of certain described properties within the City of Pleasanton more particularly set forth in Exhibit "A" to Resolution No. 03-012 and attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and the Fire Inspector was charged with the responsibility to perform the duties imposed by Government Code Sections 39560-39588, and he did prepare notices to destroy weeds and remove rubbish and refuse; and the City Clerk, in accordance with Government Code Section 39567.1, did mail written notice of the proposed abatement and removal and the public hearing to all persons owning property described in Resolution No. 03-012; and the City Council did hold a public hearing on April 14, 2003 and no protests were presented; and abatement of the nuisance may be performed by the City or by a contractor; and before the weeds are abated by the City or a contractor, any property owner may remove the weeds, rubbish or refuse at the property owner's own expense.
